How do I create wire wrapped beaded silverware?
Decide the color of wire then lay the beads out next to the silverware to decide the bead placement. Cut 3 feet of wire, then use the needle nosed pliers and twist the end of the wire into a circle. Continue twisting until the circle is the desired size.
Place the twisted wire circle on the end of the silverware, then twist the wire around the spoon or fork several times to hold it in place.
Now the fun begins! Thread a bead on the wire, slide the bead to where you want it, then wrap the wire around as tight as possible a few times to hold the bead in place. Continue to thread and wrap until reaching the top 1/2 inch of your utensil. Don’t worry if the beads are crooked because they can be straightened a bit once all the beads are on the silverware.
A quick note: Wrap the wire into fun designs and patterns to add interest and detail to the beaded silverware.
Use the needle nosed pliers and twist the end of the wire into another circle, then lay it flat against the top of the fork or spoon.
